The Annual Picnic and Staff Conference-2024 held
The Annual Picnic and Staff Conference-2024 organized by Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) and Bashori – A Nazrul Center was a vibrant and memorable event held on 22nd February, 2024, at Kabi Nazrul Park in Jadavpur of Sakhipur Upazila, Tangail. The event brought together BONDHU staff from across Bangladesh along with families of Basshori artists and guests, creating a festive and exciting atmosphere.
The day-long event was filled with diverse array of entertainment activities to engage participants of all ages. From cultural performances to sports competitions, dances, and drama performances, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
The event commenced at 10 am with a captivating performance by Bashori artists singing compositions by Kazi Nazrul Islam. Following this, Dr. Engineer Khalequzzaman, the program manager of Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU), and founding president of Bashori delivered the opening speech. Cultural performances, including music and dance, added to the celebratory atmosphere.
Bashori Pot team members showcased pot songs inspired by Nazrul's literary works, followed by a keynote speech by Khalequzzaman. Solo performances by artists like Gauri Nandi and traditional dances by Sushmita Hajong further enriched the cultural segment.
Stage plays by staff from 19 different zones of BONDHU on project-based themes added another layer of significance to the event. The afternoon session featured Nazrul Sangeet performances by Bashori artists and a variety of games for women, children, and men.
The highlight of the day was the raffle draw, which generated excitement and suspense among the attendees. Thirty prizes were awarded to the lucky winners, with cheers filling the air as each winner was announced.
Officials from Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) and guests distributed prizes to the winners of the raffle draw and sports competitions, concluding the day-long event on a joyful note.
