BONDHU takes part in the National Tree Plantation Campaign and Tree Fair 2024

The week-long Environment Fair, in celebration of World Environment Day, took place from June 5 to June 11, 2024, while the National Tree Plantation Campaign and Tree Fair-2024 commenced on June 5 and will continue until July 13, 2024, at Agargaon, Dhaka. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the fair on June 5.

Since 2023, the Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) has been an active participant in the Tree Plantation Campaign and Tree Fair, aiming to raise mass awareness about tree planting and share information about BONDHU’s tree plantation project.

This year, the fair features 120 stalls, with participation from 80 government and private institutions and nurseries. Over 200 local and foreign species of tree saplings are being showcased. BONDHU, which has been part of the Tree Plantation Campaign and Tree Fair since 2023, has a dedicated stall.  This year, BONDHU’s stall is number 39.

At the stall, BONDHU representatives are actively engaging with visitors, providing detailed information about their Tree Plantation Project, and distributing informative leaflets. In addition to these activities, the stall showcases 50 species of selected climate-friendly tree saplings, demonstrating BONDHU's commitment to promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.

Visitors to the fair have the opportunity to discover the various species of trees that are beneficial for the climate and understand how they can contribute to a greener future.
