Bondhu Mela observed at Fulbari, Dinajpur

On 4 and 5 December, 2022, Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) organized a two-day long Bondhu Mela (Bondhu Fair) at Fulbari, Dinajpur. The auspicious inauguration of Bondhu Mela-2022 was announced on Sunday, December 4, at the Khayerbari playground of Khayerbari Bazar, Fulbari.  Various programs were taken on the occasion of the fair.

Agriculturist Mrityunjoy Roy delivered a welcome speech at the Bondhu Mela. Prof. Md. Aminul Haque Sarkar, former principal, Fulbari Government College, Dinajpur and former secretary, Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Dinajpur were present as the chief guest on the occasion.  

Ms. Hasina Parveen, Member, Zilla Parishad (Fulbari, Parvatipur) and former Women Vice Chairman, Fulbari, Dinajpur; Agriculturist Mr. Bibhutibhushan Sarkar, Former Additional Director, Directorate of Agricultural Extension, Dhaka Region;  Mr. Md. Riaz Uddin, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), Fulbari, Dinajpur; Mr. Rumman Akter, Upazila Agriculture Officer, Fulbari, Dinajpur graced the event as the special guests.

The event was presided over by Md. Enamul Haque, Chairman of No. 5 Khayerbari Union Parishad, Fulbari, Dinajpur. 

The play ‘Bouyer Biye' (Wife's Marriage) written by Kazi Nazrul Islam was staged and a cultural programs were organized. Books written by Kazi Nazrul Islam were sold at a 50% discount, seed and seedling companies displayed and sold seeds and seedlings at their stalls. Cooking in Bondhu Chula were also demonstrated and cooked food were displayed and sold in the fair. The two-day long Bondhu Mela concluded on Monday, December 5.
