Seminar on “Integrated Pollution Management for Clean and Healthy Bangladesh and Green Growth”
Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU)
participated in the "World Environment Day Seminar-2023" as one of
the co-organizers, hosted by Department of Environment (DoE). Among other co-organizers
World Bank South Asia, UNICEF, Pure Earth, University of Dhaka are to be noted.
The theme of the seminar was
"Integrated Pollution Management for Clean and Healthy Bangladesh and
Green Growth".
In the seminar, the founder of Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) Dr. Engineer Khalequzzaman delivered a speech. He stated that "We, the Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU), dedicated to climate change mitigation and adaptation, have been working on several climate-friendly projects. These projects include Bondhu Chula, Climate-friendly Tree Plantation, Climate-friendly Agriculture, Solar-powered Drinking Water Supply and Energy-saving Stove projects to safeguard the environment. We are moving forward with plans to afforest and reforest mangroves in the future".
Later, Dr. Engineer Khalequzzaman gifted an Energy-saving stove to Dhaka University as a souvenir. He handed over the stove to the students of Dhaka University.
