Story of MD. Kashem Sarder, Sarder Sanitary
I am MD. Kashem Sarder, proprietor of
Sarder Sanitary. In 2015, I started an egg business but I could not be successful
in that business. My nephew had a sanitary business, by consulting with him, I
started a sanitary factory in 2017. But I could not make any profit from that
despite employing staff. Rather I had to borrow money to support my business
and family. After consulting with my family, I decided to quit that business.
By this time in September 2020, Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU),
Madaripur, District Manager MD. Al Mamun visited my factory and he informed me
about Bondhu Chula and presented a draft of Bondhu Chula business profit. The manager of Bondhu Chula and I calculated
that if I can sell one-pot chula and two-pot chula at a rate of 300 and 500
taka respectively, I will be able to make some profit, besides, I will be able
to contribute to conserving the environment and save the country. That’s why I
decided to do the job of Bondhu Chula. I involved with Bangladesh Bondhu
Foundation (BONDHU) since October 2020. Now 250 to 300 Chula’s are set up per
month from my factory. Family of 10 workers has become self-reliant by working
in my factory.
After paying my previous debt, I started pipe-making business and by selling pipe and by setting up Bondhu Chula,
I am making profit and leading a happy life. I express my gratitude to Bangladesh
Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) for giving me the opportunity to work with BONDHU.
