Annual Picnic and Staff Conference of BONDHU held in 2022

In 2022, the Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) and the Bashori-A Nazrul Center organized a vibrant and memorable Annual Picnic and Staff Conference on February 3rd, 2022. The event took place at Kabi Nazrul Park in Jadavpur, Sakhipur Upazila, Tangail District, with the participation of 1550 staff and from all corners of Bangladesh and artists of Bashori.

The day-long event was packed with diverse activities. Notably, employees from Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation and SZ Consultancy Services Limited were honored with awards and crests, acknowledging their exceptional contributions. The prestigious "Devi Suchitra Hajong Padak-2020, 2021" award, commemorating the loving memory of Suchitra Hajong, co-founder of the BONDHU, was announced during the event.

This award, celebrating extraordinary dedication to the Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation's endeavors, included a crest and a prize of Taka 30,000. Md. Zakir Hossain, AGM of the Monitoring Department, received the Devi Suchitra Hajong Padak-2020, while Mahbub Hossain, Zonal Manager, was honored with the Devi Suchitra Hajong Padak-2021, both for their remarkable contributions.

In memory of Devi Suchitra Hajong, books by Kazi Nazrul Islam were offered at a 50 percent discount. A raffle draw added an air of excitement, presenting attractive prizes to lucky winners. Sports events like Balloon Rescue for women and Tug of War for men were organized which added a competitive edge to the event. The Bashori Leto Troupe presented the comedic drama "Bouyer Biye" by Kazi Nazrul Islam, enchanting the audience with their stellar performance.  

Following this, all attendees joined in reciting Kazi Nazrul Islam’s timeless poem 'Bidrohi' in unison, marking the poem's centenary. The event concluded on a melodious note with a fascinating performance of Nazrul Sangeet by the gifted artists of Bashori.
