Annual Picnic-2023 of BONDHU and Bashori held at Jadavpur
On the 9th of February 2023, the vibrant Annual Picnic-2023, organized by Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) and Bashori- A Nazrul Center held at the picturesque Kabi Nazrul Park in Jadavpur, Sakhipur Upazila of Tangail District symbolizing unity and celebration of the staff of BONDHU and artistes of Bashori.
This yearly event filled with enthusiasm and joy, brought together all the staff of Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) and the artists of Bashori. A remarkable 2,300 participants, comprising BONDHU's staff, Bashori's artists, and their families, took part in the day-long festivity.
The presence of distinguished
figures added significance to the occasion. Notable attendees included the
esteemed Freedom Fighter and artist of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra, Manoranjan
Ghoshal; Shreya Dutta from the Program Relations Department of VNV Advisory
Services Limited; Dr. Engineer Khalequzzaman, Program Manager of Bangladesh
Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) & Founding President of Bashori- A Nazrul
Center; Animesh Kumar Sarkar, CEO of Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU),
alongside his spouse; and Sudipto Zaman, Head of Branding at Bangladesh Bondhu
Foundation (BONDHU).
The ambiance of the event resonated with festivity and a diverse array of programs throughout the day. Exciting activities and sports competitions like tug-of-war for men, balloon defense for women, children's races in various age categories, cultural performances, raffle draws, and an exhibition of books penned by Kazi Nazrul Islam with a 50% discounted price at Nazrul Corner were part of the event's glamour.
The cultural program showcased the hidden talent and commitment of Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) staff, who sang songs and presented awareness-raising theatres. After lunch, a quiz competition rewarded winners with valuable books written by Kazi Nazrul Islam. The highly anticipated raffle draw added an air of excitement to the festivities, culminating in a delightful atmosphere. With the distribution of prizes to the raffle draw winners the memorable Annual Picnic-2023 ended on a high note.
