Annual Picnic and Staff Conference-2022

Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) organizes an annual picnic and staff conference every year. However, due to the covid-19 pandemic, it was not possible to organize the annual picnic in 2021. Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) and the Bashori-A Nazrul Center organized a picnic and staff conference on 3rd February 2022, Bangla 18th Falgun, 1428 at Kabi Nazrul Park, Jadavpur, Sakhipur Upazila of Tangail District. About 1550 staff and artists of Bashori from all over the country participated in the picnic. 

The day-long initiative titled “Annual Picnic and Staff Conference-2022” had various events. At various levels, employees of Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation (BONDHU) and SZ Consultancy Services Limited were given awards and crests in recognition of their work. The “Devi Suchitra Hajong Padak-2020, 2021” award was also declared at the event. The Award has been introduced in memory of Suchitra Hajong, one of the founders of the Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation. 

This award of distinction is given every year in recognition of special and significant contributions to the activities of the Bangladesh Bondhu Foundation. The award is given with a crest and taka 30,000 each as prize money. Md. Zakir Hossain, the AGM of the Monitoring Department was awarded the Devi Suchitra Hajong Padak-2020, and Mahbub Hossain, Zonal Manager,  Devi Suchitra Hajong Padak-2021,  for their special contribution to the BONDHU activities.

Books written by Kazi Nazrul Islam were also sold at the event at a 50 percent flat discount in memory of Devi Suchitra Hajong. A raffle draw was organized and various attractive prizes were given to the winners of the raffle draw. There were also sports events. Balloon rescue for women and tug of war for men had been organized. Bashori's Leto Dal staged the comedy-drama "Bouyer Biye" written by Kazi Nazrul Islam. 

The impeccable performance of the Bashori Leto team enthralled and delighted the audience. All the participants of the event recited Kazi Nazrul Islam’s timeless poem 'Bidrohi' in unison in thousands of voices, on the occasion of the centenary of the poem. The day-long event ended with the performance of Nazrul Sangeet by the artists of Bashori.
